From the myGEAerospace Download page, make sure ‘Update Type’ is showing > Manuals <. From the ‘Document Type’ filter option, click on the drop-down arrow and select the option “Offline Viewer”.

With ‘Document Type’ showing > Offline Viewer < as the filter option, click on the “Search” button.

From the ‘Search Results’ list click on the “Select” bullet or line of the GEK you desire to download. Once selected, click on either “Download” button to start the download of the desired GEK.

Download of desired GEK ‘Offline Viewer’ package will commence. In this example using Chrome as browser, the estimated time and progress of download will appear in lower left-hand corner of page.

Download progress can be monitored by revisiting Webpage from time to time. Time to download will vary due to a number of factors (size of file package, Internet speed connectivity, etc.).

Once download progress has stopped, the download of the GEK package should be complete and is now available on the PC.

With Chrome as browser in this example, click on the drop-down arrow and select “Show in folder” or click on the “Show all” button in the lower right-hand corner of the page. Either option will provide same results.

From the Chrome downloads feature, click on the “Show in folder” feature to go to the path where the download is on your PC.




The downloaded file package is on your PC. You can move or copy or unzip and extract files from the download file package.




Using a utility like 7-zip, you can see and extract files from the download package and save to a folder on your PC as if they were extracted and copied from GE Tech Pubs media.
